Exar adds Microdis as distributor for Eastern Europe

Embedded computing vendor Exar has completed a distribution agreement with electronic component specialist Microdis Electronics. Effective immediately, Microdis will distribute Exar’s products through its extensive sales network in Albania, Belarus, Bulgaria, Bosnia, Croatia, Czech Republic, Georgia, Hungary, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia and Ukraine. This partnership does not cover Microdis offices in Baltic countries (Latvia and Lithuania)

Ragtime back in France

France : German office application vendor Ragtime was historically distributed by Mindscape through its former BU Alsyd. But in the last years, Mindscape slowly but surely dropped any active distribution. Therefore, Ragtime has decided to get back more actively on French market by stopping working with Mindscape and signing a new distribution partnership with new company Infographix. Totally dedicated to Ragtime, Infographix is both a reseller and a distributor. Ragtime is so persuaded of Infographix success that it even took a 20% share of the company. Which may lead, in case of success, to Infographix becoming Ragtime subsidiary in the country. One will see if this will happen in the next months.

Actebis signs with Acer

SCH Distribution buys IQ Sys

United Kingdom : SCH Distribution (SCHd), which also owns in the country distributors ETC, Interchange Distribution and Interface Solutions International, has continued on the acquisition path by snapping up IQ Sys, in a move it claims will give it a 60 per cent share of the UK Citrix market, as SCHd already is a Citrix distributor through ETC and Interchange. Paul Eccleston, SCH Group director responsible for distribution, stressed that SCHd would retain and build on the IQ Sys brand and that all 30 staff would keep their jobs (source : Computer Reseller News United Kingdom).

Michael Telecom gets Kabeled

Germany : telecom and telephony specialist Michael Telecom has signed a distribution partnership with main German cable service provider Kabel Deutschland (source : IT-Business Deutschland).

Copaco manages mobiles devices with Klomptek

Broadliner Copaco has expanded its mobility offer with Dutch vendor Klomptek. Klomptek is specialized in mobile device management and security solutions. Partnership with Copaco covers officially the whole Benelux (Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands) as well as France.

PCMur hits the road to Madrid

Spain : regional broadliner PcMur Soluciones Informáticas has opened its first sales office out of Murcia, in Rivas-Vaciamadrid, south-east of the capital-city of the country. United Kingdom : After parting ways with broadliner Northamber, 3Com has extended its distribution relationship with multispecial Bell Micro to include its IP telephony products. ‘The decision to extend our agreement with Bell was not only due to the significant revenues that the company generated for the existing 3Com products in its portfolio, but also as a result of the dedication that the company has shown to the 3Com relationship since 2006′, said Rob White, distribution and DMR sales manager at 3Com (source : Computer Reseller News United Kingdom).

More Dell for Asbis
