Computerlinks launches new Alvea Cloud Connect partner program to drive demand for IaaS to channel partners

United Kingdom: network and security VAD Computerlinks has launched as a part of its ALVEA managed services Cloud Connect, a new partner program for resellers designed to drive end-user demand for its upgraded Alvea Infrastructure Service. The new Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) has undergone extensive development over the last six months. It is now based on a dedicated local data centre, purpose-built for the cloud and to host Alvea Services’ cloud and managed services. A key feature of the service is its secure data seeding capability, either via encrypted hard disk or high-speed Internet transfer that allows end-users to move their data to the cloud quickly and securely. To boost end-user interest and confidence in investing in a cloud-based infrastructure, resellers are being invited to « try before you buy » and test out the flexibility of the new service by offering their customers free trials in the coming weeks.

Alvea Cloud Connect has been designed to provide resellers with all the sales, marketing and technical support they need to kick-start sales and offer their clients robust and secure cloud computing solutions. Platinum, Gold and Silver service levels have been designed to match resellers’ diverse needs and levels of expertise. In addition to demand generation campaigns across all program levels, Alvea will provide extensive marketing campaign support including sharing the cost of trade shows and events for its Platinum partners. Additional margins will also be offered to Platinum partners who make a commitment to marketing the service.

The launch of Alvea Infrastructure and Cloud Connect is a major milestone in the development of cloud services for the channel as it gives resellers a quick, easy and cost-effective way to build IaaS into their own service portfolio. ALVEA Infrastructure uses best of breed, proven cloud orchestration technology that enables on-demand, fully automated provisioning of cloud services. This allows resellers to develop and deliver cloud services quickly and easily to meet the changing needs of their clients’ businesses. The ALVEA Infrastructure data centre is housed in one of Europe’s state-of-the art Tier Three premium carrier-neutral data centres in London and conforms to key industry certifications including ISO 27001 and ISO 9001.

Alvea Infrastructure’s simple user interface allows instant provisioning of IT security and cloud services so that resellers can react quickly to the changing needs of their clients’ businesses. With a UK-based data centre at its core, built and operated by IT security and data centre management specialists, resellers can ensure that any needs their clients have, to comply with data sovereignty and security requirements, are met in full.

All of the Alvea Services are built so that resellers can apply their own look and feel to the cloud services they deliver to customers. The cloud orchestration solution deployed by Alvea Infrastructure allows the end-user interface to be fully white-labelled for those resellers who want to deliver the service under their own brand.

Alvea Cloud Connect consists of three levels of service: Platinum, Gold and Silver. Depending on the requirements and in-house capabilities of each reseller, Alvea Cloud Connect provides 24/7 email and telephone support, training, platform customisation, sales and marketing support and technical backup. All three levels provide resellers with end-user leads to help build a sales pipeline and access to a dedicated partner portal for technical and administrative support.
