TD Azlan appoints distributor for IP Trade in EMEA

Network and security VAD TD Azlan has been appointed as a distributor by IP Trade, a provider of high-performance, real-time communications and collaboration applications for mission-critical environments, for the entire EMEA region. The pan-European agreement extends the existing distribution agreement partnership between Tech Data and IP Trade in the US. It provides Azlan customers with access to the full range of IP Trade's Cisco-certified collaboration software for financial services and other vertical markets. IP Trade is a preferred Cisco SolutionsPlus Partner and a member of the Cisco Developer Network. Its real-time applications are fully-certified for use with Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) and are frequently deployed alongside and fully integrated with Cisco technologies as part of complete communications solutions. Initially, this partnership is effective in the United Kingdom and may be expanded to other countries later.

Poland: in order to answer more effectively to the needs of its resellers and own computer shops, broadliner Komputronik has extended by 700 sqm its warehouses in Poznań. The investment, evaluated to 290000€, has been financed from own funds. It will allow the company to handle an additional monthly turnover of about €45m.

TD Azlan details its cloud service

United Kingdom: network and security VAD TD Azlan has unveiled more details about the real launch of its cloud portfolio, TD Cloud. The initial offering brings together infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) from Rackspace, hosted MS Office 365 from LuxCloud, cloud backup from EMC's Mozy and hosted video services from Videxio as well as a white-label version of IaaS delivery platform vendor AirVM. Other services ought to be added over the coming months. Thanks to the StreamOne billing service (a tool which allows TD Azlan to justify its role as a cloud distributor), resellers will be able to manage all monthly charges and subscriptions, tracking customer activity across every month and collating it into one bill at the end of the period. Azlan als plans to offer a number of white-label professional services, including network assessment and migration services. TD Azlan hopes this will provide resellers (initially 150 who have already engaged with Azlan's TD Cloud discovery programme) with a low-cost entry-point into hosted services, with a partner-specific front-end brand and more than 60 services available, such as virtual servers, desktops and applications.

Middle East: flash specialist SanDisk has signed a distribution agreement with broadliner EMPA Middle East to increase flash memory growth in the region. The agreement comes at a time when demand for smartphones, tablets and ultra-thin notebooks is on the rise in the region, thereby fuelling the growth of flash memory. Through this distribution agreement, the complete range of SanDisk flash memory products will be able to be sold in the United Arab Emirates.
