Intelligent Configuration Engine launched by Exertis set to drive success for resellers

United Kingdom: broadliner Exertis has launched its Intelligent Configuration Engine (ICE), a unique online tool that helps its reseller partners accurately quote and price server and workstation configurations. Via its easy to use and intuitive interface, detailed quote, product information, price and stock availability can be established – all in a matter of minutes. Initially supporting server and workstation solutions from our partners including Dell, Fujitsu, and Lenovo, by the summer it will be extended to include storage solutions from multiple manufacturers. Unlike vendor-specific configuration engines, ICE has been engineered and fully tested by Exertis to include solutions from leading brands, ensuring that the best deals, offers and configuration alternatives are always made available to its reseller partners. Developed using Exertis' years of server and workstation knowledge and experience, ICE can guide resellers, without server or work station expertise, to the most appropriate solution for their customer, thanks to a combination of clever algorithms which – among other things – can also correct configurations when an incompatible or invalid selection is made. Additionally, it can alert users to complementary components they should consider offering their customers, helping to drive attach opportunities. As it is a proprietary solution as opposed to a vendor-created offering, key third party lines such as Microsoft Operating Systems and Tandberg backup software are available through ICE. This ensures that resellers never have to leave the configuration environment. This aids overall speed and accuracy – from starting the configuration process to submitting a fully-costed quote to their customers – ICE can help resellers save time, which can be invested in pursuing new opportunities and higher-value solutions, instead. Reporting functions within the ICE portal allow for the review of how quotes have been prepared throughout the day by sales staff, tracking the quote/sales pipeline for follow-up and archiving of quotes for analysis over time and identification of recurring sales opportunities.
