ScanSource expands video-collaboration offerings with Lifesize solutions

American multispecialist ScanSource has added Lifesize video-conferencing systems to its line card through ScanSource Communications in the US and Canada and ScanSource Imago in Europe (through ScanSource Imago offices in Belgium, France, Germany, Poland and the United Kingdom). The addition of Lifesize will provide partners with an integrated, cloud-based application and industry-leading, connected conference room devices for audio, video and web conferencing alongside ScanSource's support services. The addition of Lifesize solutions addresses the growing customer demand for hosted and cloud video services, as well as plug-and-play HD camera and HD conference phone systems for any meeting room. These solutions will enable resellers to round out their video collaboration portfolio, in order to provide complete customer solutions.

Omega cooperates with Sony

Austria: broadliner Omega has been granted by Sony official rights to distribute PlayStation products in the country.

Copaco on the phone with Crosscall

Netherlands: broadliner Copaco has been chosen as an exclusive distributor for Crosscall rugged phones and related accessories in the country. Azlan signs with Culmineo

France: as part of the "who's next" startup support program of broadliner Tech Data, infrastructure VAD Azlan has inked a distribution with Culmineo, a company which the company hosts in its Colombes offices. Culmineo offers a SaaS Web filtering and acceleration solution, which will thus be available to all Azlan VARs and system integrators. Thanks to "who's next", Culmineo has been able to accelerate its development and switch to a two-tier model much faster than if it has been developing on its own.

Johnson appointed to key role as Tech Data invests to meet retail customer needs

United Kingdom: broadliner Tech Data has made a further investment in meeting the needs of its retailer customers by appointing Teresa Johnson to the post of Retail Account Director. Jenny Parkinson, who has joined Tech Data from New Dawn Innovations, steps into Johnson's previous post of Business Development Manager for Smart Home and Networking. In her new role, Johnson will be responsible for managing some of Tech Data's key retailer accounts and helping to develop the company's overall approach and strategy to consumer-facing partners. Jenny Parkinson arrives with more than three years of experience working in various positions in retail-focused distribution and becomes part of a growing team within Tech Data's Consumer Technology Group focused on opening new potential with ground-breaking technologies.
