Ingram Micro named strategic distribution partner for Dell EMC

Middle East: broadliner Ingram Micro has been selected as a strategic distribution partner by Dell EMC across Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates and Yemen. The expanded relationship builds on Ingram'ss current partnership with Dell EMC and further strengthens Ingram Micro's relationship with one of the world's largest IT solution providers. As the leading value-added distributor in the Middle East, Ingram's rich vendor solutions offerings now provides access to Dell EMC's full portfolio of products, including advanced cloud IT infrastructure, converged systems, server/storage solutions and Client Systems.

According to IDCs Q1 results Dell EMC holds the #1 position in X86 server units and is number two in the META region, having outgrown the market both in shipments and revenue in the last quarter. In Storage, Dell EMC in the META region has shown solid quarter on quarter growth across entry, mid and high-end to all flash storage, and is the market leader in total external storage.

Ingram Micro named global Symantec distribution partner

Building on its success in advanced IT security, broadliner Ingram Micro is now a key global distribution partner for Symantec and an authorized distributor for the network security portfolio Symantec gained through its acquisition of Blue Coat last August. "With Symantec and Ingram Micro as part of our partner ecosystem, we are empowered and enabled to deliver the advanced managed security services and solutions businesses need to confidently capitalize on the business-building benefits of cloud computing", said Pat Grillo, Chairman of the Board Atrion, an Ingram Micro channel partner.

Under the new scope, Ingram Micro will expand its reach from multi-regional to global, and support Symantec's Integrated Cyber Defense enterprise portfolio including endpoint, email, data loss prevention, data center, cloud security and secure web gateway solutions. Channel partners across several key regions including the Americas, Europe and Asia can now easily engage Ingram Micro to establish a new or expanded relationship with Symantec. Ingram Micro signs distribution agreement with Quest

MEA: broadliner Ingram Micro has signed a distribution agreement with Quest, an editor specialized in new generation data protection solutions for physical, virtual and cloud environments. Through this agreement, Ingram Micro is now authorized to distribute Quest's complete portfolio of backup, recovery, and endpoint systems management solutions to its channel partners in Bahrain, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates and Yemen. Quest helps users reduce tedious administration tasks so they can focus their resources on driving business growth through greater innovation. Addressing the critical areas of Microsoft Azure cloud platform management, SaaS, security, workforce mobility and data-driven insights, Quest solutions are scalable, affordable and simple-to-use, and empower end-customers to reduce time-to-market and increase productivity. Parallels and Ingram Micro announce distribution agreement

META: Parallels has signed a distribution agreement with broadliner Ingram Micro making Ingram Micro the authorized distributor for Parallels Remote Application Server (RAS) for the Middle East, Turkey and Africa (META) region through Ingram Micro's offices in Egypt, Lebanon, Morocco, Oman, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Turkey and the United Arab Emirates. Parallels RAS is one of the fastest growing, most cost-effective and easy-to-use application and desktop delivery solutions available on the market. Recent innovations to this product have made Parallels a leader in the field, according to the IDC MarketScape Report 2016. Mark Chlebek to Head Pan-EMEA Ingram Micro Division

Broadliner Ingram Micro has unveiled a change of leadership in its pan-EMEA division. Mark Chlebek replaces Robert Beck as executive director of this division, managing relationships with pan-EMEA vendor partners. Beck will "gradually withdraw from the day-to-day business", before ending his 25 year career with the distributor. A 20-year company veteran, having joined Ingram in 1997, Chlebek takes responsibility for "purchasing and business management" for regional vendor partners managed by the distributor on a centralised basis. As part of the EMEA senior management team he reports to global group president of EMEA Mark Snider. "I'm excited to have Mark Chlebek coming into this strategic role. Mark brings with him years of EMEA-wide experience driving innovation and growth for our business. I am looking forward to working with him in his new capacity", Snider says. "I'd like to take this opportunity to thank Robert Beck for his many years of service and dedication to Ingram Micro. I'd also like to thank him for volunteering to help with a smooth transition, ensuring Ingram Micro business will continue without interruption to our vendor and customer partners." Chlebek is but one recent promotion in Ingram management. In February the distributor appointed Jacek Murawski as VP of EMEA vender engagement, with Günter Schiessl and Jordi Muñoz reporting into him in roles overseeing the management of partnerships with volume and value vendors respectively.
