"Acronis is a recognized and highly valued manufacturer in the data protection arena. News from Bluechip, Ecom, Eno Telecom and Tarox

Germany: broadliner Bluechip has decided to include in the SERVERline servers it builds and distribute a free-of-charge hardware monitoring tool named Server-Eye. This tool, which has been developed by the local system integrator Krämer IT Solutions, allows resellers to have a view on all the servers they sell, and act proactively in case of failure of a component. PC component and peripheral specialist ECOM has inaugurated a new, 3700-sqm extension to its existing warehouse1. Now able to store products on 10000 sqm, and answer more efficiently to any demand. Ronald Bulla, who was director of telephony specialist ENO Telecom, has left the distributor for personal reasons. The distributor continues to be managed by its remaining director, Bernd Horstmann. Finally, PC vendor and distributor Tarox has expanded its catalog with two new vendors, TRENDnet (networking products)2 and Viewsonic (display systems) (source: ChannelObserver Deutschland, Dealers Only Deutschland 1 and 2, Telecom Handel Deutschland, Funkschau Deutschland).

Bluechip launches its Desktop-as-a-Service offer

Germany: broadliner bluechip has presented its new "Desktop-as-a-Service" offer, as part of the bluechip Cloud Services. Through this offer, the PC vendor and distributor intends to differentiates itself from existing offers on the market by a very simple billing per user (including all necessary Microsoft licenses). The bluechip Cloud Services are particularly interesting for retailers and system partners who want to offer a holistic solution to their customers and place a great importance on simple booking and administration portals. Bluechip offers so far the following services: Hosted Exchange 2016, Virtual Private Server, Virtual Private Cloud and Cloud Storage. "We received a lot of feedback from our partners and would like to keep our promise, given at the bluechip LIVE 2016 event, not only to create services for the partners, but together with them. This is why we have created a new service that makes it possible to work with any device from anywhere in the world. Of course, as a German system manufacturer, we also offer optional bluechip mini-PCs or 2-in-1 devices which can be used as access points to the cloud services - a single-source solution, covering both hardware and cloud", says Bogdan Kruszewski, Business Development Manager Project leader Cloud at bluechip.

The Desktop-as-a-Service service provides corporate users with an access to a cloud-based workplace. It includes the latest Microsoft Office 2016 licenses, an access to cloud-based storage as well as individual configuration and installation possibilities for the retail partners. This allows them to install any terminal server-compatible software, easily and individually. The partner does not have to worry about setting up server infrastructure, ActiveDirectory or any other components. The user can easily access and edit their data in the virtual workspace, with any Webdav-enabled client, or through the bluechip Cloud Storage Portal on the Internet. The advantage for the partner and for the end user is that user management must only take place once for the entire package. The user logs for both virtual workstation and cloud storage are the same, with the same data in both cases. As an additional feature, bluechip offers a hosted Exchange 2016 midrange mailbox for each cloud-based workstation.
